A man is dead after he was struck by a Regina Transit bus on Broad Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., the Regina Police Service said the southbound lanes of Broad Street between 15th and College avenues had been closed while officers investigated the collision.
Just after 3:30 p.m., the police said the man involved had been pronounced dead at hospital.
Traffic flow is back to normal now in the 2300 block of Broad Street. (The southbound lanes were closed earlier after a collision.) This is now a fatal collision; we received word a short while ago that the victim was declared deceased. Investigation continues.

In a media release later Wednesday, police said they and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are conducting an investigation, but didn’t provide any other details.
“Identifying the victim and notifying his next of kin will be among the immediate duties for police and the Coroner,” the police said.
In a statement, city manager Chris Holden commended those who responded to the scene and said the city “is committed to full co-operation with the Regina Police Service throughout their investigation.”
“While the matter is under investigation, the City cannot provide any additional comment,” Holden said.
