One man is dead following a vehicle accident just east of Regina.
White Butte RCMP say initial investigations show the 63-year-old man was driving near McLean just before noon Saturday when he attempted to steer his car out of the ditch between the two lanes of Highway 1. That resulted in a rollover, where the lone occupant was found unconscious by paramedics following the incident.
STARS Air Ambulance also arrived to assist, yet the man was declared deceased at the scene.
One lane of the highway going in each direction had to be shut down for several hours through the day Saturday as the investigation was conducted. The normal flow of traffic resumed around 6 p.m.
