Charges have been laid against five people believed to be responsible for a home invasion last year where a senior was robbed.
The 71-year-old woman lived in the University Park East neighbourhood.
According to police, she answered a knock at the door one afternoon in January when three masked men barrelled in, threatening her with a Taser.
“The suspects stole a laptop computer, some prescription medications, and 14 pellet guns,” said a news release from police.
Police said the men were dropped off at the woman’s home by two other people.
Four of the suspects were men between the ages of 25 to 40. Another was a 25-year-old woman. They have been charged with break and enter to commit robbery. One of the men is also charged with assault.
