TORONTO — Left-hander Travis Bergen is back with the Blue Jays.
Toronto acquired the 27-year-old pitcher from the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday in exchange for cash considerations.
Bergen started the 2020 season with the Jays and made one appearance before he was sent to the Diamondbacks in August.
He pitched in seven games for Arizona, finishing the year with a 3.24 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
A product of Kennesaw State University, Bergen was originally selected by Toronto in the seventh round of the 2015 draft.
The Jays have also placed right-handed pitcher Patrick Murphy on the 60-day injured list with a right shoulder sprain.
