8:30 – Canada has approved the AstraZeneca vaccine, and Saskatchewan is expecting 15,000 doses to arrive in the coming weeks, in addition to the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines already being delivered. 10:30 – The Saskatchewan Health Authority is launching an online and phone booking system for vaccine appointments, after finding the lists they’ve been using were incomplete. The new system is set to launch later this month, and SHA CEO Scott Livingstone joins Gormley to tell us what the province needs to know about booking vaccinations through the new system.

12:00 – The Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) at the U of S saw two major announcements last week. The Saskatchewan Government announced $15M in new funding for pandemic research, and the organization has also partnered with Canada’s Global Nexus at McMaster University to collaborate on vaccine and drug development, clinical trials, and diagnostic tools. VIDO CEO Volker Gerdts joins Gormley to tell us more.
