A 16-year-old boy is facing a string of charges after he was found with sawed-off guns.
On Sunday night police responded to a home in the Hillsdale neighbourhood after a report that a boy had just left a home with a gun.
Shortly after arriving in the area, the police found someone matching the suspects description, resulting in the boy being taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation found that the suspect was on several conditions, including an order prohibiting him from having firearms in his possession. Police then were able to recover dozens of rounds of ammunition as well as on two sawed-off .22-calibre rifles and one sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun.
One of the guns found was loaded.
The boy is facing 22 charges in total, including possessing a firearm with a tampered serial number, failing to comply with conditions and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He made his first court appearance on Monday.
