Lawrence Robert Godfrey of Vibank has been identified as the victim in Regina’s fourth murder of 2021.
The Regina Police Service named Godfrey on Monday, when it also announced 25-year-old Anthony Trey Seon of Regina had been charged with second-degree murder in the case.
At around 4:20 Sunday morning, officers were sent to a home on St. John Street in the northeast part of the city, where they found a man hurt.
Paramedics responded but Godfrey, 45, was soon pronounced dead.
Police asked the Saskatchewan Coroners Service for its help in the investigation, which was determined to be a murder.
Seon was arrested Sunday. He’s to make his first court appearance Tuesday.
