8:30 – Saskatchewan relaxed its public health order Tuesday, allowing indoor private gatherings of up to 10 people, when the previous rule only allowed gatherings of those from the same household. The province also relaxed rules around worship services, now allowing gatherings of 150 people or 30% of the building’s capacity – whichever is less. Premier Scott Moe joins Gormley to tell us more about the new rules and the reasoning behind them.

10:00 – Emergency planning expert David Redman says there were significant issues with Canada’s planning process before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which led to a wave of fear and a widespread loss of confidence in politicians. Redman, who headed Alberta’s counter-terrorism strategy and served as executive director of that province’s Emergency Management Agency, says leaders just weren’t interested in hearing advice from emergency planners, and he joins Gormley to tell us more about the major mistakes we saw over the past year.
