8:30 – Today marks one year since the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic, and we’re dedicating our show to looking back at the past year with plenty of guests, calls, and panels. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic, and Saskatchewan announced its first presumptive case the following day. The first guest Gormley had on the show to discuss COVID-19 was Dr. Timothy Sly, an epidemiologist and professor of public health who helped manage the SARS pandemic in Toronto. Dr. Sly is back one year later to discuss what epidemiologists got right, and what they didn’t.
