It will be free to park at a meter in downtown Regina for a little while.
The City of Regina tweeted it was suspending the enforcement of expired meters as of Wednesday.
Effective Immediately – Save your 🪙 !
Enforcement of expired parking 🅿️ meters will be suspended as of March 24 at 1 PM until April 5, 2021, so you can make your quick stops to Regina Downtown. pic.twitter.com/T0o2A8wDqn— City of Regina (@CityofRegina) March 25, 2021
This policy will be in place until April 5, which is the duration of the new public health orders in Regina.
The city made a similar move last spring when the COVID-19 pandemic first hit Saskatchewan.
