A Regina man was arrested after allegedly driving impaired, refusing a breathalyzer test and speeding away from police.
Officers say it happened at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. They were called to the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street, near the intersection with Dewdney Avenue, after reports of a reckless driver.
There, they found a 21-year-old man pulled over. Police said they tried to talk to the man, but he got back into his car and sped away.
About 30 minutes later, they managed to pop his tires with a spike belt and arrest him with the help of police dogs near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Argyle Street.
