The Regina Police Service seized more than 3.1 kilograms of cocaine and more than $80,000 in cash during a drug bust in the city Friday.
The drug unit executed five search warrants — three on vehicles, one on a house in the Qu’Appelle Park area of the city and one on a hotel room in the city’s south end.
In addition to the cocaine, officers found 1.7 kilograms of “Super buff,” $83,000 in Canadian cash, and scales, cellphones, packaging and other items used in drug trafficking.
A 40-year-old Regina man and a 66-year-old man from Chemainus, B.C., were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
They’re to make their first court appearances Aug. 25.
