A 29-year-old Regina man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the city’s fifth murder of 2021.
Cody Stanley Glenn Desnomie is accused of killing 18-year-old Damione Dustyhorn on Wednesday night.
Desnomie also is facing two counts of aggravated assault.
Tristan Daniel McNabb, 20, was charged with assault with a weapon and 18-year-old George Moses Gordon was charged with assault with a weapon and using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence for their roles in the incident.
On Wednesday, police were called at about 8:30 p.m., to the 1500 block of Cameron Street about an altercation and an injured man.
Paramedics pronounced Dustyhorn dead at the scene. Two other men were hurt in the incident.
Desnomie, McNabb and Gordon made their first court appearances Friday.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The murder charge against Desnomie was stayed in November of 2021. Charges of assault and uttering threats were stayed in June of 2022. Gordon pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon in March of 2023 and was sentenced to time served and 18 months probation. McNabb was sentenced to six months in jail on the assault charge in May of 2023.
