A 40-year-old Regina man is facing charges after police found a variety of gun parts and two firearms that had been manufactured.
On Thursday, members of the Online Stolen Property Unit, the Patrol Unit and the SWAT team raided a house, a detached garage, a camper, a vehicle and a utility trailer on a property in the Mount Royal area of the city. The suspect was arrested as he left the garage.
“During the search, officers located more than 90 firearm parts and at least two fully functioning firearms, which had been manufactured,” the police said in a media release. “Other tools believed to have been used in manufacturing the firearms were also located along with instructions for firearm manufacturing.”
The man is charged with six gun-related offences. He made his first court appearance Friday.
