The drive-through COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Regina may be closed until early May, barring a new supply of doses.
On Friday, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said the clinic at Evraz Place would close to the public at the end of the day after exhausting its supply of vaccine.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Health put a timeframe on the closure.
“Unless there is an unexpected increase in available vaccine supply, the Regina drive-through clinic is not anticipated to reopen until May 2,” the ministry said in a media release.
The clinic had been accepting patients between the ages of 46 and 54.
Meanwhile, drive-through clinics in other centres for people between the ages of 48 and 54 only will continue through the weekend and into next week.
The Saskatoon drive-through at Prairieland Park is to be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
A drive-through at Thorpe’s Industry in Prince Albert is to run through Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., one at the Exhibition Grounds in Lloydminster is to be open Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and one at 391 Yellowhead Alley in North Battleford is to operate Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
