Hundreds of vehicles were checked for impaired drivers on Friday and Saturday near Regina Beach, resulting in charges and driving suspensions for some drivers.
During the two-day checkpoints, about 800 vehicles were checked. The checkpoints were at Highway 20 where it intersects with Highway 322 as well as on Highway 54.
Tests for impairment were given 81 times with 73 of those for alcohol and eight for drugs.
Seven charges were laid for impaired driving and 72-hour suspensions were handed out to 10 drivers.
Officers also laid charges for cocaine possession and illegal tobacco.
