A series of small fires has prompted an arson investigation by the Regina Police Service.
On Tuesday at about 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of College Avenue and Arcola Avenue for a report of a shed on fire.
Police then were told Regina Fire and Protective Services crews were dealing with multiple other small fires involving fences and sheds nearby.
“When police arrived, officers were informed that a suspicious male was seen in the area just prior to the fires,” the police said in a media release. “It was alleged the male was holding a lighter.”
Police are searching for a youth about 17 years of age who was wearing a black hat backwards, a red and white muscle shirt, blue jeans and a blue backpack.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
