Regina police have issued five more tickets for breaking public health measures.
The tickets were connected to an “Anti-Mask rally” on April 24, when more than 10 people held an outdoor gathering, contrary to public health orders.
In a news release, police say 16 tickets have now been served related to that event and more have been issued but yet to be served.
Police are asking for the public’s help to identify people who defied rules that require people to wear masks in public indoor spaces like malls and markets.
That day, a large group entered the Cornwall Centre without masks “and moved about in the mall in apparent breach of the Public Health orders.”
Videos of those people have been posted online. Citizens can view close-ups of the unmasked individuals and leave a confidential tip. Those who want to leave a tip can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
