8:30 – Bill C-10, which outlines changes to Canada’s Broadcasting Act, has come under significant criticism recently because of the powers it would give government to regulate and police online content. Despite what the federal Liberals are saying, former CRTC national commissioner Timothy Denton says the bill is “all about censorship.” Denton calls C-10 “a panicked reaction of elites to the power of the Internet,” and “clearly intended to allow speech control at the government’s discretion,” and he joins Gormley to tell us more.

9:30 – Canada’s Rebel News is often controversial, and that may have cost them their PayPal account. Founder Ezra Levant says PayPal canceled the Rebel’s account late last week without warning or explanation, despite no violations of their terms of service. Levant called the move censorship and “a cancel culture attack on the largest independent news agency in Canada,” and he joins Gormley to tell us more.

10:00 – Finding a vaccine near you just got a bit easier in Saskatchewan, thanks to a new text tool created by a software engineering student. Brock Lumbard saw similar tools in use in other parts of Canada, and created one for Saskatchewan in “a couple of days.” If you text your postal code to 306-517-7062, the tool will automatically respond with the nearest clinics to you. Lumbard joins Gormley to tell us more about the project.
