'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
A 62-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon after a confrontation near a downtown hotel which has a COVID-19 isolation unit for people unable to self-isolate.
Police say on Wednesday afternoon, a woman who worked at the isolation unit was on her break and “engaged in a verbal exchange” with a man who was among a group of protesters.
She told police that the man hit her on the head with his sign.
After she pointed him out, that’s when police made the arrest.
