The drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Regina and Saskatoon are set to accept patients all week.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said the drive-thrus at Regina’s Evraz Place and Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park will continue to dole out doses of the Pfizer vaccine to those aged 12 and over.
The Regina clinic is to operate daily from noon to 7:30 p.m. The Saskatoon drive-thru is slated to be open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The SHA schedule is only complete through Saturday.
On Tuesday, the Regina drive-thru exhausted its supply for the day and shut down at 5 p.m., 2 1/2 hours before its scheduled closure.
There also are drive-thru clinics set for this week in Lloydminster (Friday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), North Battleford (Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), Shellbrook (Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Warman (Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
Walk-in clinics are slated for the rest of the week in a variety of communities. Those facilities are stocked with Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
A complete list of the clinics around the province and the vaccines they’re offering can be seen here.
The age of eligibility for first doses in Saskatchewan remains 12 and over.
People 80 and over or anyone who got their first dose on or before March 1 is eligible to get a second dose. So are individuals diagnosed with or being treated for cancer and individuals who have received solid organ transplants.
Appointments can be booked online 24/7 or by calling 1-833-727-5829 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days per week.
Vaccinations also can be arranged through pharmacies that are participating in the province’s immunization pilot project.
