12:00 – Farm & Food Care is leading ‘Breakfast From the Farm’ Thursday and a meal will be provided to about 900 students and teachers at urban schools in the province. It’s a way to feed kids and help make the connection between the foods we eat and the farmers in our communities who grow our food. The program was originally planned as a day for consumers to come out to a farm setting to enjoy a breakfast made with local ingredients and tour agricultural displays. But with Covid restrictions, Clinton Monchuk, Executive Director of Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan, says they had to get creative about how to deliver information about Saskatchewan food and farming in a safe and fun way. Monchuk joins Gormley now with more on ‘Breakfast From the Farm.’
