The Regina Police Service seized more than three kilograms of meth and nearly $200,000 in cash during a bust Wednesday.
In a media release, police said officers executed three search warrants — one in the Gardiner Park area of the city, one in the Whitmore Park neighbourhood and one on a vehicle.
About 3,300 grams of methamphetamine, 300 grams of cocaine, $197,000 in cash, a loaded carbine rifle, multiple cell phones and other drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized. A 34-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested.
The pair were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
The man also was charged with possession of MDMA, unsafe storage of a loaded gun, possession of weapons dangerous to the public peace, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
