Second doses continue to outpace first doses in Saskatchewan and that trend is sure to continue.
As of Monday, the eligibility for a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine drops to 50 years and older, or anyone who received their first dose on or before April 15.
As well, the eligibility age has dropped to 18 years and older for northern Saskatchewan residents regardless of when they received their first dose, as long as they have passed the minimum interval between doses for the vaccine brand. That’s 21 days for Pfizer and 28 for Moderna.
So far, 893,514 vaccines have been administered. 203,574 people are fully immunized.
