According to police, an officer ended up firing their weapon and hitting the man.
RCMP said officers immediately performed life-saving measures on the man until the Lestock Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived.
The man was pronounced dead by EMS not long after they arrived.

The Saskatchewan RCMP has requested an independent external police investigation into the circumstances of this incident with the Weyburn Police Service being chosen to conduct this investigation.
Assistant Commissioner with the Saskatchewan RCMP, Rhonda Blackmore, says there will be many steps involved in what the investigation will look like.
“The Saskatchewan RCMP takes these matters very seriously and, as such, we are giving the Weyburn Police Service our full co-operation as they conduct an external investigation into the circumstances surrounding what happened today,” Blackmore said in a statement.
“I offer my deepest condolences to all of those affected by this incident.”
The Saskatchewan RCMP has also requested that the provincial Ministry of Justice and Attorney General appoint an independent investigation observer in accordance with Section 91.1 of the Saskatchewan Police Act.
There is also going to be a request for a second independent investigation observer of First Nation ancestry in accordance with the Saskatchewan Police Amendment Act.
Support services are currently being organized for the family of the man who was shot and the police officers who were involved.
