RCMP looking into two suspicious deaths near Good Spirit Lake

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit North is investigating the deaths of two men on a grid road near Good Spirit Lake.

According to an RCMP media release issued Wednesday, the deaths are considered suspicious.

The Mounties said officers from the Canora detachment got a call Monday just after 8 p.m., about an orange-coloured SUV parked on Tiny Grid Road near the Burgis Beach turnoff.

Officers and paramedics arriving on the scene found two men dead inside the vehicle.

Autopsies were scheduled for Wednesday as the RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service look to confirm the identities of the men.

Anyone with information about any suspicious activity Monday in the area of the Burgis Beach turnoff along Tiny Grid Road is asked to call the Canora RCMP at 306-563-4700, the Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
