A 25-year-old woman is dead after a vehicle with eight passengers rolled multiple times while travelling on a grid road just off Highway 7.
The incident occurred just before midnight Sunday when the vehicle was travelling north near Beadle.
Kindersley RCMP says the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other passengers were taken to hospital in serious condition via STARS. The remaining five individuals who were in the vehicle received varying injuries and some were taken to a local hospital.
The RCMP didn’t have updates on the conditions of all the passengers.
After investigating, a 26-year-old man from Medicine Hat has been charged with six offences, including five counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, five counts of driving with blood alcohol exceeding the legal limit causing bodily harm and five counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
The man has also been charged with impaired driving causing death, driving with blood alcohol equal or exceeding the legal limit causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 21.
