A 56-year-old Grenfell man has been charged after the Regina Police Service found more than $38,000 worth of stolen property in his possession.
The investigation started Thursday, when members of the Online Stolen Property Unit were told about a man selling what appeared to be new merchandise online.
The investigation eventually resulted in officers finding what police said were “dozens of household items” that had been stolen from a local business.
“Items ranging from camping supplies to power tools to a wakeboard were found stored in a hotel room, vehicle and storage locker in Regina,” the police said in a media release.
The man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking. Officers also found a gun during n their search, resulting in charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
The man made his first court appearance Monday.
