10:00 – Saskatchewan’s attempts to replace the federal carbon pricing plan with a provincial scheme have fallen flat after Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson announced no provincial pricing systems will be accepted until at least 2023. Premier Scott Moe criticized the decision, calling it “arbitrary” and pointing out that Saskatchewan’s plan exceeds the minimum standard and New Brunswick’s provincial plan was accepted by Ottawa. Moe joins Gormley to share his reaction to the decision, and what the next steps are for the Province.
