Police say a woman who escaped from a stolen vehicle they were pursuing was not injured.
In a news release, they say she was being held against her will and when the vehicle was moving slowly, she jumped out.
The chase allegedly started on Tuesday morning near Third Avenue and Argyle Street when police noticed a suspicious vehicle.
Police say they tried using a spike belt but the driver was able to keep going.
The vehicle was eventually stopped on Britton Bay where the driver was arrested.
A 29-year-old man faces several charges including fleeing a peace officer, possession of stolen property, and forcible confinement.
