8:30 – The federal government announced Monday their plan for reopening the border. August 9, 2021, Canada plans to begin allowing entry to American citizens and permanent residents, who are currently residing in the United States, and have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering Canada for non-essential travel. On September 7, 2021, Canada will open its borders for the rest of the world, “provided that Canada’s covid-19 epidemiology remains favorable.” Dr. Laurie Trautman, Director of the Border Policy Research Institute at Western Washington University, joins Gormley to share her opinion on the border re-opening plan.

Chad Jones is an AI expert, former Apple developer, and CEO of Push Interactions, and he joins Gormley to tell us about the brave new world artificial intelligence is creating.

12:00 – A team of Saskatchewan filmmakers is hoping to scare the pants off of their audience in 20 minutes or less, and they’re ready to hit the ground running after a massively successful crowdfunding campaign. The team hit their $9,000 fundraising goal on Kickstarter in just 30 hours, and they’ve now raised more than $12,000 to fund the horror short, titled ‘The Druid’s Hand.’ Co-writer and director Mitch Oliver joins Gormley to tell us more about his made-in-Saskatchewan film project.
