A 36-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly robbing a bank Tuesday.
Around 10:49 a.m., police were called to a bank in the Lakewood neighbourhood on the 5800 block of Rochdale Blvd.
When officers arrived, they learned that a man walked into the business with a screw driver in his hand and demanded money.
The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money before he left the business. He then got in the driver seat of a vehicle with a female passenger inside and then drove away.
Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as Adrian Southwind and found him in the area of 7th Avenue and McIntyre Street later in the day.
He was suffering from an unrelated medical issue and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Once he was released from hospital, Southwind was taken into police custody and is now facing three charges.
Southwind made his first appearance in Provincial Court Wednesday afternoon.
