RCMP have provided more information about a fatal two-car crash Thursday.
On Thursday around 10 a.m., Rosetown RCMP Detachment responded to a two-vehicle collision between a semi and an SUV on Highway 7 west of Fiske.
The two people in the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, and only person in the semi, was helped by paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
RCMP said it looks like the semi was travelling east and the SUV was travelling west on Highway 7 when the SUV crossed over the centre line into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with the semi.
The cargo of the semi spilled and police confirmed it was not dangerous.
Highway 7 was closed for a majority of the day as the scene was cleared and the investigation took place.
The highway has since reopened to traffic and the investigation is ongoing.
