8:30 – We are about one month out from back to school and some parents are nervous about sending their kids back to in-person classes. School will feel like it did in years past, according to the 2021-2022 Safe Schools Plan unveiled on the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation website. Last week, the Health Minister said a decision about vaccines for those 5+ wouldn’t be coming for a few weeks. Should we be concerned if students are going back to school without vaccines and masks? Microbiologist Dr. Blondeau is here to talk about the risk of kids getting COVID as we head into a new school year.

12:00 – The Farm Stress Line has seen a significant increase in demand this year amid struggles with the 2021 growing season. Jan Thorson is the acting Executive Director for Saskatchewan Mobile Crisis Services, which oversees the Farm Stress Line. She joins Mike to talk about their service and what farmers can expect when they call the stress line.
