According to the CMA’s incoming president Katherine Smart, mandatory vaccinations for those working in healthcare would be an additional measure to protect patients, the healthcare workforce, and our healthcare system’s capacity. 11:00 – Rosa Kouri is being called a hero. The Saskatoon-born woman was at Thetis Lake in BC last month when she heard cries for help. A mother, father and their young boy were all struggling to stay above water. Kouri, a former lifeguard, jumped in the lake and saved them. She joins Gormley to share the story. 12:00 – This morning provincial ombudsman Mary McFadyen released a report into the outbreak at Extendicare Parkside in Regina. Minister Responsible for Seniors Everett Hindley requested the investigation in January, after at least 38 residents of the home died with COVID-19. Ombudsman McFadyen joins Gormley to go over what is in the report.
