The first Riders game in almost two years kicks off tomorrow, and as always, fans can make the trek to Mosaic Stadium any number of ways.
Walking and biking, as well as using Rider Transit, are encouraged for those attending Friday’s game.
Rider Transit is free and begins two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff. The last bus will take fans to the stadium 30 minutes before game time.
Those using this transit option are encouraged to arrive early at designated pickup stops: Southland Mall, Northbound Albert Street at 9th Avenue, University of Regina (lot 2), 6th Ave at Hamilton St, Eastbound Sask Drive at Hamilton St; Dewdney Ave at Scarth St; Westbound Victoria Ave at Scarth St; and Dewdney Ave at Lorne St.
Buses will return fans from the start of the fourth quarter until one hour after the end of the game.
Ticket holders can also ride on regular city transit for free, including registered clients for Paratransit service, by showing their gameday ticket.
Those attending the game are encouraged to follow public health practices — staying home if sick, bringing a mask (optional to wear on Regina Transit) and using the hand sanitizer available on all transit buses.
A bike valet service at Evraz Place is offered for those who choose a different way to ride to the game, located outside Gate 1 in the southwest corner of Mosaic Stadium.
A clear bag policy is in effect at the stadium.
Vehicle restrictions on game day are in place to allow for safe foot traffic around the stadium. Restrictions due to this or construction are located on Argyle St south of Dewdney Ave to 9th Ave; Elphinstone St between Saskatchewan Dr and Dewdney Ave; 9th Ave from McTavish St to Montague St; 10th Ave closed westbound at Montague St; and North Railway St closed westbound at Elphinstone St.
