There were 258 new cases and two new deaths reported by the province Friday.
This is the 10th straight day Saskatchewan has seen a triple-digit increase in cases. This is the largest number of cases since May 8th when the province recorded 271.
About two-fifths (40.3 per cent) of new cases are between the ages of 20 and 39.
Saskatchewan now has 1,753 active cases.
A reported 2,822 new vaccine doses have been administered.
A look at the numbers
A total of 53,262 cases and 50,913 recoveries have been reported in Saskatchewan.
New cases in the province were reported in the Far North West (nine), Far North Central (seven), Far North East (29), North West (23), North Central (36), North East (18), Saskatoon (61), Central West (10), Central East (nine), Regina (13), South West (five), South Central (five) and South East (12) zones. Twenty-one new cases have pending residence information.
In hospital, there are 97 COVID-19 patients, including 75 inpatient: far north west (three), north west (seven), north central (12), north east (four), Saskatoon (35), central east (one), Regina (10), south central (two), south east (one),
Twenty-two patients are in intensive care from Saskatoon (12), north central (five) and Regina (five).
As of Thursday, 71 (73.2 per cent) patients in hospital are not fully vaccinated.
There were two new deaths, bringing the total to 596.
The seven-day average for daily new cases jumped up to 177 (14.7 new cases per 100,000).
New tests completed in the province number 3,618, with 1,013,851 total tests done in the province.
Vaccination update
A total of 1,469,601 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, with 690,691 residents fully vaccinated.
