Regina city transit is set to return to full services for the first time in over a year.
The City of Regina announced transit will resume full-service on all routes in the city on Sunday.
“Transit is one of the most affordable and convenient ways to get around the city,” Kim Onrait, executive director of citizen services, said in a news release. “We want all Regina residents to know we’re fully back in business. With over 1,400 bus stops and flexible fare options, Regina transit plays a critical role to ensure residents can travel across our community.”
Since March 2020, bus schedules and routes had been reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This included routes that had been reduced to Saturday-only schedules — Route 21 Glencairn University and Route 30 Rochdale University Express. These will all resume Monday to Friday service.
The city said enhanced cleaning will continue on all city buses.
