8:30 – COVID-19 cases are on the rise in the province with a record 7-day average of 362 or 30/per 100,000. Our hospitals are becoming overwhelmed with 181 people in hospital, including 32 in the ICU. People are waiting in lines for hours to get tested, while vaccinations decline. The chief of emergency operations for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Derek Miller joins Gormley to discuss hospitalizations numbers, where we are at for vaccine rollout and the increased demand for testing.

10:00 – Yesterday, a Facebook post from Lancaster Taphouse in Regina sparked a conversation about the unacceptable treatment of female employees by patrons. It described the condescending and disgusting remarks their female employees deal with from customers regularly. Gormley asked you for your opinion and many of you weighed in with stories of your own. Today, we are continuing the conversation. Are female employees of businesses treated differently? Is it a male only issue? Tim Rogers, one of the owners of Lancasters said they have a zero- tolerance policy for this type of behaviour. Should all businesses adopt a “be nice or leave” mentality? 11:00 – September 10 (tomorrow) is World Suicide Prevention Day – recognized around the world to promote the awareness and prevention of suicide. Allan Kehler is a bestselling author and motivational speaker who has struggled with his mental health since he was 14. He was able to turn his life around and help others along the way. Kehler joins Gormley to talk about World Suicide Prevention Day and to take calls from listeners who may be struggling.

12:00 – On Saturday, September 11, the Royal United Services Institute of Regina will continue to install pedestals explaining Canada’s wartime history. Retired Army reserve Major Brad Hrycyna joins Gormley to tell us more about the pedestals that will be going up around the Regina Cenotaph in Victoria Park.
