Saskatchewan voters were eager to make their mark ahead of Monday’s federal election.
According to Elections Canada, 182,432 voters cast a ballot province-wide during the advance polls from Friday through Monday.
That was roughly a 20 per cent increase from the 151,723 votes cast in 2019.
Of the 14 ridings in Saskatchewan, only Saskatoon-West saw a drop in early voting participation, with 10,959 ballots cast.
Overall, just over a million more votes were cast at the advance polls in this general election compared to the previous election.
Elections Canada noted the figures are estimates as some polls may not have reported yet.
