A Grade 2/3 classroom at George Lee School is shifting to online learning after a number of positive COVID-19 cases.
In a media release late Monday afternoon, Regina Public Schools said students in the class will learn remotely from Tuesday until Oct. 6. Students are to return to the school starting Oct. 7 if they don’t have symptoms.
All of the families with students in the class got a letter from the teacher.
In addition to the cases at George Lee, the public division also announced three more cases had been identified at Henry Janzen School, with one case reported at each of Seven Stones Community School, Ecole Connaught Community School, Walker School, Grant Road School, Thom Collegiate and ISP-Victoria Campus.
The Regina Catholic School Division said there were two new cases at St. Gabriel School.
Close contacts of all of the positive cases have been informed and have been given further instruction regarding self-monitoring and self-isolation.
