City of Regina closing down outdoor facilities for season

The City of Regina is getting ready for the arrival of Old Man Winter.

Crews are closing — or preparing to close — city-operated facilities such as off-leash dog parks, spray pads and golf courses.

Seasonal off-leash dog parks are closed for the year now, while spray pads and seasonal washrooms are to shut down Friday after water lines are cleared out.

The Lakeview Par 3 Golf Course is to close for the season at the end of business Sunday, the Joanne Goulet Golf Course is to shut down Oct. 11, the Tor Hill Golf Course will close on Oct. 15 and the Murray Golf Course will see its last rounds of the year on Oct. 17.

The city’s parks and open spaces remain open year-round.
