Details are scarce, but the Regina Police Service Explosives Disposal Unit is on the scene of a suspicious package in the 600 block of Albert Street.
Drivers and pedestrians are being asked to avoid the east side of the road in that area as the bomb squad investigates the package, which was discovered Monday just after 3 p.m.
The area hasn’t been evacuated. Police say the package is in a compound away from traffic, but they’re asking people to avoid the area as a precaution.
