A 30-year-old Regina woman has been charged after a 34-year-old man allegedly was kidnapped and robbed earlier this month.
The Regina Police Service said the man was speaking with a woman through a messaging service on Oct. 9 and agreed to meet her in person. They met at a house with a group of people the man didn’t know.
Police say the man was kidnapped, assaulted and robbed and then forced to take unknown substances which are believed to have been drugs. The suspects eventually took the man home and left with his car, some electronic equipment and other personal items.
The victim called police and one of the suspects was subsequently identified. She was arrested Sunday evening and charged with robbery, assault with a weapon (a pellet gun), administering a noxious thing (drugs), kidnapping and extortion.
She made her first court appearance Monday.
