Garbage collection in the City of Regina reverts to a biweekly schedule Nov. 1.
That schedule will continue to April 1. However, weekly collection will occur from Dec. 20 to Dec. 31.
Garbage collection days remain the same for residents, as do the days for recycling collection.
“Biweekly garbage right-sizes the service to meet the reduced winter volume of garbage for the majority of residents,” the city said in a media release. “The city is focused on waste reduction and recycling to help extend the life of our landfill and protect the environment.”
People can get notifications about their garbage and recycling pickup by signing up to receive reminders. Residents can go to Collection Schedules on the city’s website, type in their address in the search box and choose text, email, voicemail or electronic calendar reminders.
Residents also can print their collection calendar.
