8:30 – Speaking to the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, Premier Scott Moe defended his government’s refusal to expand public health restrictions beyond their current levels, saying lockdowns and restrictions that could lead to business closures would be unfair to the 77% of eligible residents who are already vaccinated. NDP Leader Ryan Meili called the comments “a slap in the face to those families who have lost someone to COVID-19” and those not able to access healthcare services. Meili joins Gormley to discuss Scott Moe’s covid response and the NDP’s focus and priorities for the fall sitting of the Legislature, which gets underway tomorrow.

10:00 – This December, the law that allows police to breath-test any driver, will be three years old. Bill C-46 took effect on Dec. 18, 2018. The controversial law allows police to breath-test any driver without needing suspicion of drinking. She started with a splash into Pike Lake on June 1 and took her last dip into Sturgeon Lake on Sept. 26.
