A 33-year-old man was seriously hurt Saturday when he was beaten up and then run over.
According to a media release from the Regina Police Service, officers were sent to the 1300 block of Victoria Avenue on Saturday at about 2:15 a.m., for a call about an assault.
A witness told police they saw a man being beaten up by a group of people. The suspects took off, leaving the man on the street. A vehicle then hit the man and continued west on Victoria Avenue.
Paramedics took the man to hospital with serious injuries.
Police eventually found the vehicle and charged a 47-year-old woman with failing to stop after a collision that causes bodily harm. She was released on an undertaking to appear in Regina Provincial Court in December.
Officers are still investigating the assault and are asking anyone with information about it to call them at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
