The former home of Costco in Regina is about to become the new home for the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s COVID-19 testing and vaccine mass clinics.
In a media release Tuesday, the authority said it was moving those COVID operations from Evraz Place to the former Costco building east of the Victoria Square Mall on Victoria Avenue East.
The drive-thru testing clinic will operate at Evraz Place through Friday before moving to the new location on Saturday. People looking to get tested after Saturday should enter via East Star Lite Street.
The vaccine clinic will run at Evraz Place through Nov. 11 and then will open at the former Costco building on Nov. 15. Access is available through the main entrance.
From Nov. 12-14, walk-in clinics will handle COVID and flu vaccinations until the new location opens.
The SHA isn’t testing people who are asymptomatic or who need proof of a negative test. Private companies will provide a rapid antigen test or a PCR test for a fee.
