A Grade 2 and 3 classroom at Ecole Centennial Community School is to close Thursday due to multiple cases of COVID-19.
Students in the class are to shift to online instruction on Friday, with a return to school scheduled for Dec. 7 if the students are symptom-free.
“Parents will be contacted by your child’s teacher regarding details for remote learning,” Regina Public Schools said in a release. “We remind everyone entering schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.”
The school division said there were four new cases confirmed at the school in Regina’s northwest, increasing the total at Centennial in November to nine.
Everyone who has been in contact with the positive cases is to receive a letter from the Saskatchewan Health Authority. All close contacts identified at the school in the future will be informed directly by Public Health.
