Saskatchewan is pitching in to help British Columbia.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe tweeted Monday the province is sending resources to B.C., to help that province deal with ongoing flooding.
Moe said his government sent sandbagging machines, temporary walls and an employee from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency to B.C., as part of its response.
“As British Columbia continues to navigate a very difficult situation, Saskatchewan will work closely with officials to continue to provide any support that we can,” Moe added in a second tweet.
Significant rainfall in B.C. on the weekend prompted flood warnings in some areas that have been dealing with rising waters for most of the month. Evacuation orders have been issued for some regions as well.
Dairy and poultry farms and fruit and vegetable operations in the province also have been badly affected by the flooding.
